PM Hariri visiting the Directorate on 2019 NYE
Prime Minister Saad el Hariri visited the headquarters of the General Directorate of State Security to oversee the measures and procedures taken on holidays and New Year celebrations.
He was received by the Director General of State Security, Major General Tony Saliba, and his Deputy Brigadier General, Samir Sannan, and senior officers from the General Directorate. After his meeting with the Director General and his Deputy, Prime Minister Hariri headed to the operations room at the Directorate and was briefed on the readiness and measures taken. Afterwards, Major General Saliba, accompanied by his Deputy, visited the joint operations room at the army command, and then checked the readiness of the regional directorates. He commended the proper conduct of measures in order to provide security and safety.
