Circulating a Pickpocket Picture

The General Directorate of State Security - Section of Media, Orientation and Public Relations issued the following statement:

After monitoring and follow-up, a patrol from the General Directorate of State Security arrested the Syrian (M.Ch.) in the town of Barqayel – Akkar, for pickpocketing a woman on 19/09/2019 from the town of Qubayyat, and after searching his home, it found the shirt he was wearing during the pickpocketing.

Upon interrogating him, he admitted committing several pickpocketing. Some stolen items were seized along with a motorcycle with no identification papers that he was using in the pickpocketing.

Upon the reference of the Appellate Attorney General of the North, the General Directorate of State Security circulates the picture of the detainee, and calls upon the citizens and residents who have fallen victims thereto to go to the Akkar Regional Directorate - Qubayyat Regional Office to deliver their statements, or contact 06/350235 or 06/350492 in order to take the necessary legal procedures.
