Arresting a Syrian for Pickpocketing by Force of Arms
The General Directorate of State Security - Section of Media, Orientation and Public Relations issued the following statement:
After circulating videos on social media showing him pickpocketing in the southern suburbs of Beirut by force of arms, and as a result of intensive investigations and follow-up inquiry, a patrol from the General Directorate of State Security arrested in the locality of Baabda the Syrian (R.A.) and seized the military pistol he used with its clip.
Upon the reference of the Appeal Public Prosecution of Mount Lebanon, the General Directorate of State Security circulates the picture of the detainee, and calls upon the citizens and residents who have fallen victims thereto to go to the Mount Lebanon Regional Directorate - Baabda Regional Office, to deliver their statements or contact 05/920953 to take the necessary legal procedures.
