Arresting an Employee for Public Funds Embezzlement at the Port of Beirut

Within the framework of the efforts exerted by the General Directorate of State Security to counter corruption, and after receiving information about a Lebanese employee (M.S.) who committed several embezzlements of public funds from the safe of the Port of Beirut, taking advantage of his post as a treasurer at the Port Authority of Beirut, he was summoned along with other employees following the competent judiciary review to the General Directorate - Port of Beirut Office where they had been investigated, and the employee admitted what was attributed to him. 
In view of the foregoing, the employee (M.S.) was arrested for the offense of embezzlement and handed over to the competent judiciary upon its reference.
