Cooperation Agreement with BPG
On 13/06/2019, within the framework of cooperation in the field of counterfeit products and exchange of expertise, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the General Directorate of State Security represented by the Deputy-Director General, Brigadier General Samir Sannan, and the Association for the Protection of Products and Trademarks - Lebanon (BPG),represented by its President, Rani Sader.
The pair stressed the importance of countering the phenomenon of counterfeiting, imitation and smuggling that affects consumers, the reputation of Lebanon, the economy and the nation as a whole. Furthermore, talks touched on the possibility of training the Directorate's members, developing their professional competence and qualifying them in the field of counterfeiting, imitation and referringto the Association for help when seizing counterfeit materials.
